Our Mission Statement
The following is the use to which the premises shall be put under the terms of Preston Little Theatre's lease of the premises. This is identical to the use set down by the founders of the Playhouse in 1946.
To provide and maintain either at the said premises or elsewhere in the neighbourhood of Preston aforesaid facilities for the presentation at popular prices or free upon invitation either to the public generally or to private or limited audiences, of high class plays, operas, and othertheatrical works performed either wholly by amateur players or wholly by professional players or partly by amateur and partly by professional players.
To educate and train students in drama, all branches of stage craft, music, painting and other similar arts and crafts and to provide opportunities in Preston aforesaid for the exercise and practice by such students or others of all such arts and crafts and to promote the recognition and encouragement of exceptional merit or ability in students by the institution of scholarships, exhibitions, grants, medals or other prizes or benefactions.
